Greenhouse Counseling & Ministries is a ministry that includes counseling, offering affordable, faith-based, trauma-informed care for people seeking hope, healing, and biblical guidance.
Just as a greenhouse provides a safe environment for plants to take root and thrive, Greenhouse Counseling and Ministries is a place where people can get re-rooted, flourish, and grow. We offer a nurturing, compassionate space where you can be heard, supported, and gently guided toward freedom and restoration.
Our Mission
Our heart is deeply rooted in Isaiah 58:6–7. We exist to loosen the chains of injustice, share our bread with the hungry, shelter the hurting, and restore hope through compassionate care and practical support.
We believe God calls us to help people break free from destructive habits, grow in daily life skills, and learn to depend fully on Him.
Who We Serve
We welcome anyone ages 16 and older, including young adults, women, and men from any faith background. Whether you are walking through crisis or trauma, navigating marital conflict, battling addiction, or seeking guidance for parenting and daily life, we are here to help.
We understand that it can feel intimidating to share your struggles. That is why we are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and empathetic place where you will be heard and understood without judgment.

Diane Newkirk
Diane Newkirk is the founder of Greenhouse Counseling & Ministries and a seasoned leader with more than 35 years of dedicated experience in ministry and discipleship. Her journey with Christ began 40 years ago, and it sparked a lifelong passion for helping others find freedom through the Gospel.
Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion: Christian Counseling and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University’s John W. Rawlings School of Divinity. Her background combines academic training with decades of hands-on leadership in ministry, counseling, women’s outreach, and service.
She has served in roles that include board leadership at the Rockville Pregnancy Center and leadership in large-scale women’s ministries. Diane’s spiritual gifts in shepherding, mercy, and discernment shape her ability to walk alongside those who are hurting with wisdom and compassion.

Kevin Newkirk
Kevin Newkirk is a San Antonio native and licensed Journeyman Electrician with a passion for serving others. He volunteers with a local food pantry and ministry serving individuals experiencing homelessness and is currently pursuing certification in biblical counseling through Light University.
Kevin was born in Washington, D.C., before his family relocated to San Antonio, where he graduated from Judson High School and earned his Journeyman Electrician license. A proud father of two daughters, he is committed to helping others find hope, healing, and practical guidance grounded in biblical truth through both his volunteer work and ongoing biblical counseling studies.
Irene White
Irene White is a Texas Certified Community Health Worker with a lifelong passion for advocacy, ministry, and serving others. Drawing on experience in government, nonprofit organizations, and community outreach, she helps individuals and families access essential resources and support.
A Converse, Texas resident originally from Washington, D.C., Irene earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her heart for service was strengthened during 20 years as her mother’s primary caregiver. Irene has been married to her husband, Tony, since 1998. Together they have a blended family of five children, and they actively serve at Journey Fellowship Church, where Tony is an Elder.
Dorothy W. Williams
Dorothy W. Williams has dedicated her career and volunteer service to helping vulnerable individuals and families live with dignity. Following her retirement from the State of Texas, she has continued serving communities through food insecurity and outreach ministries.
Dorothy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University and retired in 2010 after serving as a Regional Legal Manager and Social Worker for the State of Texas. She has led ministries supporting seniors, caregivers, and food pantry operations, and now volunteers with Waste Not, Want Not in Orange Park, Florida, helping rescue and distribute food to families in need. Dorothy is the proud grandmother of four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and enjoys reading mystery novels and solving puzzles.
Angie Morehead
Angie Morehead serves as Vice President of Operations at WSI Digital Marketing, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in digital marketing and IT. She is passionate about servant leadership and helping people discover purpose through meaningful work and ministry.
Beyond her professional role, Angie co-directs the women’s ministry at Journey Fellowship Church in Selma, Texas, where she supports women through biblical discipleship and community. She also serves on the board of Greenhouse Ministries, helping advance its mission of bringing hope and healing to the community. Angie and her husband, Gary, an Air Force veteran and Elder at Journey Fellowship Church, have three sons and four grandchildren.
Emma Yount
Emma Yount is the youngest member of the Greenhouse board, bringing a fresh perspective and the voice of the next generation of servant leaders. She is passionate about using her creativity, leadership, and faith to serve others.
As a youth leader and worship leader at Journey Fellowship Church in Selma, Texas, Emma enjoys connecting with people of all ages and helping others grow in their faith. Her involvement reflects Greenhouse’s commitment to investing in young adults through mentorship and leadership opportunities while making a positive impact in the community.
